ONAWAY MOTOR SPEEDWAY RULEBOOK
Any Make, Model, or Year that matches the descriptions below whether foreign or domestic. Trucks can be used also.
Examples of cars allowed: Luminas, newer style front-wheel drive Monte Carlos, Buick LaSabre, Old's eighty-eights, Bonnevilles, etc. 4-cylinder cars that run with the V-6 class will be the dual overhead cam cars, the 2-seater cars Fiearo's, Honda CRX, etc., any super scharged 4 Cyl. Rear-wheel drive exceptions: compact-size trucks, For example: Ford Ranger, Chevy s-10's, etc. 4x4 MINI TRUCKS MUST DISCONNECT ONE OF THE DRIVE SHAFTS.
CHASSIS: 1. All fenders, hood, doors and decklids must be in place. Doors will be welded and chained shut. Hoods and decklids shall be pinned. Front and rear hoops allowed. 2. Roll-over protection required. Inside driver compartment minimum of 3-point anchoring. Driver door shall have extra protection, MINIMUM of 3 bars. Hoop and roll-over protection shall be made of STEEL PIPE. No smaller than 1.5" outside diameter. No galvanized or exhaust pipe! 3. Stock fuel tank will be removed. A securley mounted and covered tank will be placed in the trunk area of the car. Yes, boat tanks will pass. Mount safely and securely, and cover. 4. Batteries will be placed on the floor behind the driver (on either side) and securely fastened and covered. 5. A fire extinguisher minimum of 2 lbs. mounted within reach of the driver with a WORKING release. 6. Windshield or properly made bar screen required. All other glass and plastic must be removed...headlights...taillights...grills...etc. 7. No raw iron protruding from car...INCLUDING the tire spear. 8. Nothing on the suspension can be adjustable. ENGINES: 1. Engines are to remain STOCK for your car or truck! NO modifications at all STOCK! STOCK! STOCK! EXHAUST: 1. MAKE IT SAFE! TIRES AND WHEELS: All season type radial tires. Maximum width 7". Steel rims with 1" lug nuts. No mud and snow tires. TRANSMISSION: 1. Whatever came in the car. External coolers are allowed. NOTE: Flush the anti-freeze out of the cooling system: water only, with additives like Water Wetter, etc.
