What To Do When Visiting Texas Motor Speedway

Texas Motor Speedway is a great place for any racer fan to visit. Bring the family and enjoy all that this venue has to offer. Located in Ft. Worth, Texas, Texas Motor Speedway has a layout is similar to Atlanta Motor Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway and is home to many race events, including two NASCAR Sprint Cup races: the Dickies 500 and the Samsung 500.

Texas Motor Speedway offers free general parking and even a camping area if you want to bring your family in a motor home for a weekend event! Once inside the gates, enjoy food and beverages from many concession stands and a slew of racing souvenirs from several vendors. They even have complimentary shuttle service via golf carts at each gate entrance. They’ll be happy to help you find anything you need.

There are many things to see here aside from the races themselves. You and your family can get pit passes and gain access to pit road during various weekend events and race days. This enables you to get up close and personal with each team’s tent. This way you can see the cars up close and even their drivers and maybe snag an autograph!

If you aren’t going to visit Texas Motor Speedway during a race day or weekend event, you and your family cna take a tour of the facilities. Speedway tours include a stop on the luxury suite level where you get a birds-eye view of more than 150,000 seats and the 1,500 acres that make up the Speedway. You also get to experience laps of the racing oval, first hand via the tour van. Lastly, don’t forget to visit the Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame, located near the South Tunnel at Texas Motor Speedway. It’s open year-round to track visitors.
